(descriptions from the facebook page):  I love being back at work, I’ve always loved working, it’s a big part of who I am. I’ve been having a lot of fun shooting The Back-UP Plan. It’s a really, really happy, positive, fun comedy set. For me, when I read the script, having just gone through my own experience of having babies for the first time, it definitely rang true…all the jokes about what it is to be pregnant…being tired and kind of hormonal, and all the weird things that happen to you. What makes a comedy funny is that there is some reality to it…when audiences laugh and say ’oh my god’ and ‘that’s so true.’ At the same time, you want to try and bring something new to it, something fresh. I think a lot of people will really relate to my character, Zoe.

Alex O’Loughlin as Stan…
I first auditioned for the role of specimen CR04239B– I wanted to give my seed to the film… but they weren’t interested… so I just auditioned for the role of Stan and got it. I’m happy with it. Stan is a daydreamer. He’s a little frustrated at where he is. Then suddenly, Stan and Zoe collide into one another’s lives. It’s very serendipitous because they end up exactly where they want and need to be, but it takes a minute to realize what it is.

Noureen DeWulf as Daphne…
I play Daphne, Jennifer Lopez’s employee, in a pet store. As for working with animals, I’m a big animal lover, but Cesar Milan who has a cameo in the film recently told me that my unstable energy really affects animals so that kind of took me back a notch. Especially since I own a dog.

Eric Christian Olsen as Clive…
This is a modern comedy. In reading the script, I was like ‘oh, I totally buy into this,’ ‘I want to be a part of this movie.’ And then, working with Jennifer has been just incredible– you come in with all these pre-conceived notions because she is such a superstar. And she’s written about in all these magazines. But on the very first day, her first scene in two years, she was amazing…charming and sexy and effortless…just amazing. I remember coming home and being like ‘I’m in love.’ I’m in love with her – I’d just like to say that out loud. She is just phenomenal. Playing the role of Clive and getting to work in the pet store with Noureen DuWulf was an absolute blast.

Cesar Milan as…Cesar Milan…
It’s a big compliment to play myself in this film. Everybody was very excited – my kids, my wife. And everybody needs a back-up plan. My wife always talks about the need to have a back-up plan…and, or course, now I’m working on a movie that has the title The Back-Up Plan. It’s funny.

This movie has been so much fun to make! I responded immediately to all the characters in the script, particularly my character, Mona, who is someone who I thought I’d like to hang out with. She is the sassy, straight-forward, straight shootin’, tell-it-like-it-is friend who pulls no punches. She’s the kind of friend that if you tell her something horrible that happened to you, she’ll top it with something way worse that happened to her to make you feel better. It was that part of Mona that made me go, YES!

Linda Lavin as Nana…
This is a script with a good heart. It’s extremely funny. I play Jennifer’s Nana – a no-nonsense kind of person who is an open-hearted woman, a straight-shooter. It’s rare to find a script like this where a woman of age is not a joke, or demeaned by other people, or self-demeaning. This is a completely modern picture. So many young people in our society want to have a family (but) relationships are difficult…and there’s so much young people want to accomplish today in a short amount of time. This movie explores in a really comedic way that there’s a short amount of time but relationships matter.

Tom Bosley as Arthur…
This film is a lot of fun – the audience will enjoy it a lot. The whole cast is wonderful and terribly talented. I play the part of a man who’s been in love with Jennifer’s grandmother for 22 years and she has finally agreed to marry me. People will definitely get a kick out of the wedding scene—it’s hilarious.

Nibs as Nuts…
The role of Nuts is an incredible opportunity. When you look at performances that are recognized by the Academy, they are generally for roles where the character is physically, mentally, or emotionally challenged, so to get a role where I would be in a wheelchair, while daunting, was extremely exciting for me. I think you will see from my performance that I was able to capture what is true for these animals—they really do not see themselves as challenged and are able to fulfill their role like any other dog—whether greeting the family upon arrival, chasing after cats or birds, fetching the newspaper, etc—these animals are happy if they just have a good pack leader.
