For Jennifer Lopez, July 24th was a big day. Turning 40 is no small thing, and it seemed that everyone helped her celebrate in style. After a late day of filming, the folks on set toasted Jennifer by popping some bottles, taking some pictures and wishing her happy birthday. There is a great video from “Imkoooo” representing OnlineJLoFan.com – videos like this actually go a long way to underscore how cool, real, and fun some people are (other times, there are videos that show stars being nasty, but that i guess might be that person’s true nature). Jennifer really comes across as a sweet person. at about 1:42, she is supposed to be taking a picture with the producers and she calls out, “Where’s Alex?” making sure her co-star, Alex O’Loughlin, is around for the pic. Also, Alex proves to be fun and funny. He toasts J.Lo at the end, and follows that up by drink straight from the champagne bottle:
There is a great gallery of photos of the on-set birthday fun over at lovelylopez.net. I like this one (which I snagged from there) of the cake.

I think they are clapping, or saying a thankyou prayer for such amazing cupcakes and stuff!
The cake says “Jennifer, thanks for being our Plan A…” which, of course, is sweet and a reference to the original title of “The Back-up Plan” – “Plan B” (as a former English major and kindof a jerk when it comes to grammar, there is something else on the cake that bugs me, but oh well, the thought is what is important).
The next birthday celebration was a smaller affair, a bit of a surprise (although, on your actual 40th birthday, I think you might expect something) arranged by Marc Anthony. It was more private, with just family and friends. Alex O’Loughlin was there, and everyone seems to have had fun. There are some pics of this over at lovelylopez.net, so check that out.
And then, oh my, and then came the biggest birthday event imaginable. Marc Anthony does it again…a huge party, with lots of fine fancy folks, a movie marquee and shutting down 47th St! It Was Called, “An Evening with Lola” it is was spectacular. There were some big names there: Once again Alex O’Loughlin, but also Ricky Martin, Lance Bass, Liza Minnelli, Alicia Keyes, Carlos Beltran, and the list keeps going. But by far, the coolest thing was the delivery of the book put together by fans. Jennifer once again proved to be gracious and very cool and is pictured here with the book:
