So Entertainment Tonight sure sparked some excitement, with the interview (mentioned in a previous post) featuring Jennifer Lopez and a cameo by Alex O’Loughlin. In the last few days so very, very many sites have picked up the story or quoted from the interview (which is good, the more people aware of and talking about the movie or the stars, the better for the eventual success of the film, etc, etc). From local newspapers, to french, spanish, and italian (this one even linked to here) news and fan sites, to the strong fans here in the US, everyone appreciates this insight into the film and Jennifer Lopez. Some of the sites (like this Latina write up) are kinder than others…some others like to twist the context a bit for their headlines. ET’s online video of the interview gave super-fans the chance to grab some screen shots, and a great gallery of these is at alexoloughlin.org. What is my point? Basically, thanks ET. It is nice to get some news, see some scenes and churn up some excitement. I also really like what Jennifer says around 1:50, when she says that her whole perspective has changed since becoming a mom and she brings the pregnancy experience to the role and approaches it differently. It is a refreshingly human and accessible sentiment to hear, and I couldn’t agree more…although I am a dad, not a mom, and not an actor, or in a movie….yeah, anyway it does change your perspective, and I can see how for her, this is the perfect movie to do at this point in her life.
In fandom news, Alex-o.net is no more. The “Adoring Alex” forums have been moved to http://www.adoringalex.com or http://www.alexoloughlin.org/forum/index.php. Sounds like there was some drama along the way, but good luck! If you are reading this, you probably already visit one forum or another, but if not, go check them out and participate, it is fun and interesting.
We’ve been getting some love in the form of sweet, sweet linkage from the forums at vamploveforever.com - so check them out, too. There are people there who have been supporting and following Alex for years, so they have some good knowledge to share.
Lastly, I added some sites to the blogroll. OK, happy Friday!

Hi Pam, do you have a link that we could post here to take us right to that spot on Adoring Alex?

Yes, thanks for the plugs Tim.
There really wasn’t that much drama concerning the move.. just that the old host had a bit too many restrictions.. so we moved to a domain name and hosting account that I own.
Things have settled down and it feels like home.
Both “Adoring Alex” and “alexoloughlin.org” have been existence since Fall ‘07.. and is the place to learn all there is about Alex.
You can catch Pam’s audio interview here: http://www.alexoloughlin.org/?p=368
